Hello, I’m Ibtihal—though most people just call me Ibti! My love for interior decorating and design has been with me for as long as I can remember. After 23 years in education, I decided to follow my true passion and dive fully into the world of design. I earned my Interior Decorating diploma in the United States, and my experience spans a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial design to landscaping and even smaller decluttering and organizing tasks to create serene and harmonious spaces.

I’m committed to providing complete design, decor, and turnkey solutions for both residential and commercial projects. Let’s turn houses into homes, enliven empty spaces, and design environments you’ll truly love to live, work, and play in. I look forward to bringing your vision to life!

Get to Know Me: Questions & Answers

Describe Your Style

My style is eclectic—a mix of contemporary, rustic, and farmhouse chic. But I believe a person’s style evolves with time, age, and even the function of a space. My own home looks much different in my 40s than it did in my 30s, especially now that I’m a semi-empty nester!

What Would Your Ideal Project Be?

I believe every project has its own unique charm, but my dream project would be to restore an old home to its former glory. Bringing a historic home back to life and handing it back to its original owners, who may have had to part with it due to maintenance costs, would be incredibly rewarding.

What Do You Love Most About Designing?

Designing is my passion, and I never see it as work—it’s pure enjoyment for me. My favorite part is the reveal, seeing the look of amazement in my client’s eyes. That moment of awe is the ultimate reward!

How Did You Begin Your Career, and Where Did You Study?

I discovered my passion for design at a young age, but at the time, there weren’t any design programs in my city. So, I pursued studies in English Literature and Business Administration at university and worked as a teacher for a few years. When I got married, I shared my passion for interior design with my husband, and with his support, I enrolled in an Interior Decorating program in Pennsylvania. I completed my diploma while on maternity leave, and around that time, we relocated to Canada, where I also studied Early Childhood Education. My work in early childhood education allowed me to design safe, engaging play spaces for children, blending my love for both design and child development.

Later, we moved to Dubai, where I studied Early Years Management and took on leadership roles at two nurseries and a play area. This experience allowed me to bring my design skills to educational spaces, creating beautiful, eco-friendly environments that nurtured children’s creativity and individuality. I had the honor of designing Dubai’s first sustainable nursery at The Sustainable City. I've also enjoyed providing turnkey solutions for residential clients, transforming bare spaces into fully furnished homes—even down to the toothbrushes!
